Job Description
Structural Engineer
- The jobholder should hold a Bachelor of Science /Masters of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent and registered with Board of Engineers or equivalent.
- Structural Engineer minimum 8 years practical working experience in structural engineering, analysis and design of offshore facilities.
- Have strong knowledge on design techniques in structural steel engineering including associated computer software throughout various stages of project development cycle, i.e., from Appraise to Execute.
- Experience and familiar with design code API RP2A WSD and LRFD codes
- Development of design and fabrication detail drawings
- Familiar with Codes of practice for structural steel work erection and welding applications.
- Experience in installation of jacket structures, piles, decks and modules.
- Familiar with lifting equipment including offshore derrick barge crane
- Relevant international standards and codes of practice commonly use in the oil and gas industry including API, BS, AISC and DNV.
- Proficient in structural integrity analysis and software especially SACS, etc.
- Management skill of handling offshore platform structural integrity projects.
- Ability to propose innovative concept for offshore structures is an added advantage.
- Excellent supervisory, communication and presentation skills including oral and written reporting and organization management.
