Maintenance Manager
Reports to: Senior Production Operations Manager
Department: Operations
Function: Maintenance
Role Purpose:
- Responsible and Oversight over MPMY operational assets with regards to equipment maintenance to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, reliability of company assets.
- Responsible for managing and coordinating asset integrity, maintenance, inspection and testing activities to assure the continued safe operation of the platform operation, contributing to the success of the organisation through achieving company objectives
- Ability to step up to a higher level/ deputise for Head of Production Department when required.
Role Dimensions:
Approx. 150M MYR OPEX
No. of Staff Supervised: Direct (6 discipline Engineers), Indirect (Offshore 25 maintenance technicians + ad hoc OEM Engineers)

Challenges:
- Changing the culture to an effective, efficient, reliable and safe culture of planned and structured non-intrusive implementation in a low oil price environment.
- Change the culture to ensure root cause are identified and fixed, embedding failure analysis for the purposes of prevention of similar incidents.
Decisions:
- Make tactical decisions, strategic decisions are networked with line manager and other stakeholders.
Communications & Working Relationships:
Internal:
- Senior Operations Manager, Production Operations Team Lead, Offshore Installation Manager, HSSE/AI Manager, Field Maintenance Staff and, Engineering, Production Engineering and Project Managers and Engineers
External:
- Contractors such as third-party service providers for certification of Plant and Equipment, Government and Learned Societies, (e.g. MPM, DOSH), Equipment Manufacturer’s technical experts.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Knowledge:
- University degree in an appropriate Engineering Discipline or Production Engineering plus training in HSSE and Maintenance with wide knowledge of the upstream Oil and Gas industry.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience directly associated with the maintenance of utilities and production processes, plant and equipment with the majority of that experience obtained in field operations, at least 7 years of which must be at a senior supervisory level.
- Ability to step up to a higher level/ deputise for Head of Production Department when required.
