Facility Engineer
 
 
 
1. KEY OBJECTIVES
• Primary person within the Engineering & Modification Section to which structural, mechanical and piping tasks are directed for all the Company facilities associated with oil & gas production.
• Assist the Head of Facility on jobs that he assigned the activities include but are not limited to interfacing with Operations, Production, Maintenance, Vendors, Contractor and other support departments and stake holders including the Company’s Corporate and PETRONAS.
• Coordinate structural, mechanical static / piping equipment and or systems that related to small scale project, modification, integrity, inspection to the required standard and Company specification.
• Specifying method, materials, equipment and arrangements required to procure, fabricate, install / modify or add to facilities and systems to upkeep the equipment and/ or production.
• Defining work scopes and work with the Contractors / subcontractors to execute the workorders and monitor their performance to ensure the work is done correctly, on time and within budget.
• Providing inputs into the work planning, cost estimation, work execution including assist on WP&B (Work Program and Budget) of your specific discipline work program forecast and corresponding budget estimates.
• Preparation and evaluation procurement documents, review technical and commercial proposal required to obtain service, purchase materials, equipment and parts necessary.
• Closely liaison with Contractor, subcontractor and vendor on day-to-day activities with respect to roll out of each project’s allocated manpower, equipment, tools and consumables.
• Closely work and support CSR (Company Site Representatives) at onshore & offshores of Sarawak, Sabah and Labuan during work execution with respect to supervision, safe and smooth executing tasks.
 
 
 
2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Ensure all work related to your responsibilities are performed and completed to the required safety, quality, schedule and cost standards.
• Develop work scope and review the technical and commercial received from selected contractors. Modify and negotiate as required to provide the optimum schedule and budget required for the work.
• Implement the structural & mechanical including it associated electrical, instrument & control work including planning, scheduling, monitoring including cost and progress of work. Identify any areas that cost, and time savings may be obtained.
• Prepare periodic cost and progress status reports for work in your area of responsibility includes analyzing work in progress, evaluate the risk of achieving targets and formulate required mitigation plans.
• To attend and/or chair technical meetings with the relevant internal departments and Contractors.
• To prepare technical proposals required to obtain management approval of changes, modifications and field development initiatives
• To review and verify the procurement related process of Technical Bid Evaluation and Technical Commercial Bid Evaluation.
• To perform verification of Invoices, Timesheet resources submitted by Contractor and check against the progress of work done.
• Perform site visits (both offshore and onshore) as required by supervisor and participate department SSHE plan.
 
 
 
3. REQUIREMENTS
• Degree in Engineering.
• Have detailed knowledge of Well Completions, Well Interventions and well servicing
• Degree in an Engineering related discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 9 years of working experience in upstream oil & gas project industries.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in onshore and offshore construction & project management, technical, commercial and planning in the oil and gas industry.
• Familiar with Oil & Gas code, standard and work process & procedure.
• Experience in Oil & Gas production operations an advantage.
• Proactive, quick learner and proven good team player.
• Good interpersonal and strong leadership skills.
• Fluent in English both written and spoken.
• Must be a team player and capable of communicating technical issues across all other disciplines.
• Good behavior, team player, self-motivated and fast learner.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to use flow measurement software.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Registered with Board of Engineer Malaysia (B.E.M).
• Knowledge in SAP system or centralized data & access
