Plan and execute Category Management activities covering Upstream, Downstream and Gas & New Energy businesses via effective design, formulation and implementation of short and long term category plans/strategies
based on clear value propositions (technical and commercial) to stakeholders capturing overall COMPANY’S business direction in the areas of industry shaping, enterprise category plan, SLM framework, and via effective control in the execution of category strategies related to strategic sourcing and non-sourcing initiatives, contract management implementation, and also functionally act to represent COMPANY’S in regulating the PDA in the area of procurement governance through effective communication of category strategies, review and approval of PACs tenders and contracts, so as to ensure optimum, seamless and timely value delivery to stakeholders and COMPANY’S.
1) Category strategy & planning
Perform analysis and prepare category strategy by analyzing the overall spend data including historical data and market insights through prioritisation of the items’ criticality and cost saving opportunities to support and safeguard COMPANY’S / shareholders’ aspirations, objectives and interests.
2) Category strategy implementation
Plan and execute the sub-category strategies and sourcing & non sourcing initiatives by collaborating across categories, Business Units (BU)/ Operating Units (OPU)/PACs and other internal/external stakeholders to implement the strategy according to the approved blueprint.
3) Supplier relationship management
Plan and execute the implementation of the Strategic Supplier Collaborations & intervention by coordinating/organizing the supplier (or industry bodies) engagement plan and monitoring the intervention & solutions for performance management of the suppliers to establish and sustain effective long-term relationships in order to capitalize on win-win business deals and collaboration for maximum value returns.
4) Category contract management
Monitor and execute the contract management activities by effective monitoring and timely processing of post award activities e.g Compliance to contractual obligation, Approved Contract Value (ACV) management, change to contract, identifying issues/disputes, capturing lessons learnt, structured contractor’s performance management and system including GOA management etc. to meet identified category strategies and initiative objectives in compliance with COMPANY’S established policies and procedures to safeguard company’s interest and maximize value for the stakeholders.
5) Category risk management
Monitor and execute category risk management activities by identifying and analyzing potential category risk and subsequently implementing the mitigation actions to minimize business exposure and safeguard COMPANY’S interest.
Degree in any related discipline.
Relevant experience and technical knowledge with about 5 years in oil and gas industry.
